Town of Lexington Chief Terrence Green announced the arrest of John William Rivenbark Jr., age 46 of West Columbia for an incident at the Tractor Supply Company located at 5589 Sunset Boulevard in Lexington.
On December 3 around 10:10 pm, officers were dispatched to an alarm at the Tractor Supply Company. When the officer arrived on scene, he noticed a pickup truck parked nearby and saw John Rivenbark Jr. wearing dark clothing, a ski mask and gloves inside of the locked gated area outside of the store. The officer observed him attempting to steal a kayak by using a pair of bolt cutters. John Rivenbark Jr. was arrested without incident by officers and he was transported to the Lexington County Detention Center.
John Rivenbark Jr. was charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and Possession of Burglary Tools. He received a personal recognizance bond of $15,000.
