Dutch Fork Elementary School Academy of Environmental Sciences 5th grader, Corin Martin was honored as The Rotary Club of Lake Murray-Irmo’s “Service above Self” Student of the Month.
“Corin is a student who is all about inclusivity and making sure that everyone he comes in contact with feels safe and valued,” Principal Julius Scott said. “He is committed to making the world around him better and that includes here at our school and our local community. He is a cub scout and has taken on a leadership role as a cub scout. So when I think about “Service above Self”, Corin has already taken on that attitude as a fifth grader and he will continue to be a power for good in the Irmo Community.”
