Midlands Striper Club held its monthly Lake Murray tournament out of Acapulco on Oct. 18.
A total of 17 teams participated in the tournament. They brought 25 striped bass to the scales weighing a total of 185.58 pounds with a 7.42-pound average.
A total of 12 teams were able to bring a full two fish creel to the scales.
Finishing in first place with a total weight of 19.85 pounds was Team Knot Right, captained by Allen Rodgers along with Ty Rodgers and Perry Rodgers.
Team Knot Right also won the Team Wildman Big Fish award sponsored by the Nichols Store with a 10.27-pound Striper. In addition, Team Knot Right took the Synergy eTherapy live release Award and were the TWT winner.
Finishing in second place with a total weight of 17.67 pounds was Team Stone Age captained by Rick Sineath along with Liz Sineath.
Finishing in third place with a total weight of 16.74 pounds was Team Been Lure’d In captained by John Temple along with Leesy Temple.

Lady Angler Award went to Liz Sineath from Team Stone Age. Youth Angler Award went to Perry Rodgers from Team Knot Right.
Middle of the Pack with a total weight of 15.13 went to Team Sea-n-Stripes. Smallest Creel with a total weight of 3.37 pounds was Team Coosa.

Midlands Striper Club is a family-oriented fishing organization dedicated to preserving our fisheries for generations to come.
MSC’s next monthly meeting is scheduled for Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. at the Flight Deck in Lexington. The next tournament is set for Nov. 15 in Acapulco.
