Rainfall and lightning made for another long weekend of prep football.
Both Lexington and Saluda moved its respective games from Friday to Saturday.
Each came away with victories.
Over at Wildcat Stadium, Lexington defeated Spring Valley 34-12. Quarterback Easton Crocker threw two touchdowns and Ethan Geiger and Noah Dunn also scored for the Wildcats.
In the afternoon, Saluda traveled to Ninety-Six where it amassed over 500 yards in a 56-7 rout. The win avenged last year’s 28-27 loss at home.
Weather shortened a contest between ALA Lexington again Spartanburg Day. Ryan Campbell threw two touchdown passes in the 26-6 with for the Patriots.
The game was stopped with 1:30 left in the second quarter due to bad weather.
War Eagles, Rebels and Gators win
In the battle of charter schools, Gray Collegiate Academy rolled to a 49-15 win over Mountain View Prep.
Running back Trevon Williamson rushed for 239 yards and two touchdowns and quarterback Xavier Wright threw for 222 yards and two scores.
Mid-Carolina continued its best start in 15 years with a 48-0 victory over North Central.
Ryker Woolstenhulme, Wyatt Mazza and Davis Ruff all accounted for two touchdowns each to lead the Rebels (4-0).
Over in The Swamp, River Bluff rolled to a 49-28 win over Midland Valley.
Quarterback Brayden Moore threw four touchdowns, three to Darius Carter, and Ashton Boyd rushed for 102 yards to lead the Gators (3-1).
Bubba Alexander and Reece Huffstetler both had nine tackles and he also had a rushing touchdown. In all three victories, River Bluff has scored over 40 points.
