LEXINGTON, S.C. — White Knoll High School CATE/AVID teacher John Trowbridge has been named the 2025 Everyday Champion Award winner for 6–12 educators by the National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD).
Trowbridge was first selected as a finalist in August and completed a rigorous application process that included submitting a personal video. On Thursday, September 18, he was officially notified of his selection as this year’s honoree.
As part of the recognition, Trowbridge will receive a $5,000 award and an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City in November, where he will be honored at the NCLD Annual Benefit as the 2025 6–12 Grade Honoree.
“This award is a testament to Mr. Trowbridge’s tireless dedication to his students and his passion for creating welcoming, engaging learning environments,” said WKHS Principal Nicholas Pearson. “We are incredibly proud to see his commitment recognized on a national stage.”
The Everyday Champion Award celebrates outstanding educators who go above and beyond to support students with learning and attention issues. Honorees are recognized for their innovation, compassion, and leadership, which inspire both students and colleagues.
