A shooting on December 24 claimed the life of a 4-year-old child in the Harbison area of Lexington County.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the victim as Jah’el E. Walker of Columbia. The child was shot while inside a vehicle in the 200 block of Harbison Boulevard and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office, Columbia Police Department, and the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) are actively investigating the incident.
Authorities have not released further details as the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact law enforcement.
