School District Five has announced several impressive accomplishments for its Class of 2026, highlighting the academic success and post-graduation opportunities earned by this year’s graduates.
The district’s 1,315 graduates were offered a combined total of $211,219,715 in scholarship funds, reflecting their achievements in academics, leadership, athletics, and community involvement.
Among the graduating class, 70 percent earned either a South Carolina HOPE Scholarship or LIFE Scholarship, providing financial assistance for higher education within the state.
The Class of 2026 also produced 113 Palmetto Fellows Scholars, one of South Carolina’s most prestigious academic scholarship programs recognizing exceptional academic performance.
In addition, 23 graduates committed to military service, choosing to serve their country through various branches of the United States Armed Forces.
District officials said the statistics reflect the hard work of students, families, teachers, and staff in preparing graduates for success in college, careers, military service, and beyond.
