Please continue following Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines to help keep you, your family, and your friends protected against this disease. If you or your family have concerns about the coronavirus, please visit the CDC’s website or call 1-800-CDC-INFO.
There are also numerous resources from the South Carolina and Federal government to help. You can find a list of these resources on my website, here. This list is updated daily to ensure you and your family have what you need to stay safe and healthy.
Senseless Acts of Violence at the U.S. Capitol
I condemn the violence that took place this past Wednesday, we are a nation of laws and violence should never be tolerated. I commend the Capitol Police for their valiant efforts.
My deepest sympathies, thoughts, and prayers go out to the family, friends, and colleagues of Capitol Police officer Brian D. Sicknick. Officer Sicknick lost his life defending against the horrible violence of Wednesday’s riots, I am thankful for his heroic efforts and heartbroken for this senseless loss of life.
National Law Enforcement Officers Day
Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, I am grateful to these men and women who keep our families safe, locally, and around the country. I am committed to firmly support our nation’s police officers.
