District Five to hold teacher recruitment event

Lexington-Richland School District Five will hold its 2020 Teacher Recruitment Event on Feb. 1 to give jobseekers an opportunity to learn more about schools and services in the district and talk one-on-one with administrators.

Registration is now open for the event, which will be held at the Center for the Arts at Irmo High School from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

“School District Five is committed to providing a world-class education for students, and it all begins with having the best teachers in our classrooms,” said School District Five Chief Human Resources Officer Dr. Allison Jacques. “The Teacher Recruitment Event offers a golden opportunity for prospective employees to meet personally with school and district leaders, and it allows us to meet and interview a diverse range of high quality candidates.”

Jobseekers attending the Teacher Recruitment Event are asked to bring several copies of their resume. Online registration is available until Jan. 30. On-site registration will also be available. To register, visit http://bit.ly/TeachIn52020.

School District Five Director of Personnel Tamara Turner said, “Every year, we look forward to this event to network and build relationships with educators, as they are the heart of everything we do in our district. We value their leadership, voice, and passion to go beyond the profession to ensure students are successful. We are excited to meet everyone and share why we want you to #TeachIn5!”
